As CEO, Simon leads the company’s overall business strategy and is responsible for MobileIron’s day-to-day-operations. Simon brings more than 20 years of management and financial experience to MobileIron. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he spent nine years, most recently in the firm’s Silicon Valley technology accounting and audit practice. He went on to join Wyle Electronics where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Simon’s next role was Vice President for Finance and Controller of the internet infrastructure business of Conexant which became Mindspeed Technologies (NASDAQ: MSPD) where he then served for 5 years as Chief Financial Officer. He then spent five years at QLogic Corp. (NASDAQ: QLGC) as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, then as Chief Executive Officer. Simon joined MobileIron from ServiceSource International, Inc. (NASDAQ: SREV) where he served as Interim Chief Financial Officer. He holds a BA in business studies from the University of Glamorgan and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
As CFO, Shawn is responsible for MobileIron’s financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury activities, and investor relations. He has more than 20 years of financial management and accounting experience. He joined MobileIron in 2012, serving as Corporate Controller and then Vice President, Finance. Prior to joining MobileIron, Shawn held financial management roles at both private and public companies including DemandTec (acquired by IBM) and 3Com. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand (currently PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP) in the firm’s Silicon Valley audit practice. Shawn holds a BS in economics from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
As CTO, Suresh is responsible for anticipating what customers will need in the future and leading MobileIron’s research division. Before MobileIron, Suresh was Engineering Portfolio Leader for application switching and security at Nortel Enterprise Data Networks. During that time, his team shipped more than 60,000 application switches and accelerators and thousands of firewalls. He built three offshore engineering teams from scratch and established expertise in virtualization and highly scalable systems. Prior to Nortel, Suresh was Engineering Manager at Alteon Websystems, an innovator in internet infrastructure that was acquired by Nortel in 2000. His first startup was HolonTech Corporation. Suresh has an MS in Computer Science from the University of South Florida.
As the Chief People Officer, Jared is responsible for recruiting, retaining and developing MobileIron’s global talent base. Jared has significant talent strategy and human resource management experience in early stage companies and large enterprises, through initial public offerings, acquisitions, and hyper-growth phases. Prior to joining MobileIron, Jared was the Vice President of People Operations at The Climate Corporation through its $1B acquisition by Monsanto. Jared also served as a key member of the HR leadership team at LinkedIn through its IPO in May 2011 as the company grew from 600 to 5000 employees. Jared held other senior HR leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard, Quiksilver, and Auto Meter Products. Jared is also a former Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Jared received his B.A. in International Studies from Brigham Young University and his M.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
As Chief Customer Officer, Ajay works with customers to understand what MobileIron does well, what might be improved upon, and how to expand products and services to better serve customers’ needs. Prior to founding MobileIron, Ajay co-founded enterprise wireless pioneer, Airespace, now part of Cisco. He defined the initial product requirements for the company’s products, working hand-in-hand with 20 teaching customers. Ajay also chaired the WLAN-Mobile Convergence (WMC) task force within the WiFi Alliance and launched two new WMC certifications. Ajay is a frequent speaker on mobile convergence and its implications for the enterprise. Before founding Airespace, Ajay ran product management for the Cisco Mobile Office Network (MNET). He integrated the acquisitions of JetCell and Exio, built the products team, and successfully launched the Cisco MNET solution at GSM World Congress in 2001. Ajay started his career as an engineer at Motorola, where he was part of the team that designed the world’s first commercial GSM handset in 1990. He was also instrumental in developing Motorola’s first CDMA handset in 1993. Ajay has an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
As Vice President of Product and Ecosystem, John leads MobileIron's Product Management, User Experience, and Ecosystem teams to maximize product value to customers with MobileIron and partner integrated solutions. John has over 20 years of experience in security, networking, SaaS, and mobile holding senior management positions as CEO, Product Management, Engineering Management, and Program Management at companies such as Code Green Networks, SonicWALL, Nokia, Microsoft, and Shadow Networks. John has brought many new innovative products to market from concept to high volume sales for Mobile Unified Communications, secure content Data Loss Prevention (DLP), VPN, Firewall, Wi-Fi, and the industry's lowest cost custom encryption ASIC. He has start-up experience as a co-founder as well as experience through IPO and growth phases along with scaling large multinational organizations running global teams across enterprise, consumer, and government markets. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
Sohail Parekh brings more than 20 years of experience in leading diverse engineering teams to conceptualize, build and deliver business-critical products and services for a number of high-tech industries including Networking and Security. Prior to joining MobileIron, Sohail was Executive Vice President of Engineering at CloudPassage, a leading cloud workload protection platform. Prior to Cloud Passage, Sohail was the Executive Vice President of Engineering at Infoblox, where as a key member of the senior executive team he helped take the company through a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO). Through timely delivery of Infoblox’s highly differentiated products, he contributed to doubling company revenues in the first three years as a public company. During his time at Infoblox, Sohail led a global team of more than 300 engineers deliver numerous innovative Security, Analytics and Networking software products – generating sustained growth and helping Infoblox become the market leader in the core network services category. Prior to Infoblox, Sohail served as a Vice President of Engineering at Vernier Networks, Inc., a network identity management and access control products company. Before Vernier, Sohail co-founded and served as Vice President of Engineering at Syndeo Corp., a communication software company. Sohail has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston.
As Senior Vice President of Customer Success, Dilip leads MobileIron’s technical support, education, customer advocacy, and professional services teams. Prior to joining MobileIron, Dilip spent 15 years at Wind River, a subsidiary of Intel. He joined Wind River as a field engineer and held a series of positions over the years including Vice President Customer Operations and Senior Vice President R&D. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Research and Development and Worldwide Customer Operations, and was responsible for driving innovation and delivery of key products for Wind River and for managing customer-facing engineering groups across the globe. Prior to joining Wind River, he served as a software development manager with Texas Instruments in EMEA and Singapore and as a software manager and designer at Atlas Converting Equipment in the UK. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Electronic Physics from Royal Holloway, University of London, and an MBA from the Open University Business School, UK.
As SVP Worldwide Sales at MobileIron, Greg is responsible for all company revenue and routes to market globally. Greg has more than 20 years of experience in sales and executive management. Prior to joining MobileIron, he spent more than eight years at CA Technologies, serving most recently as the SVP & GM of Global Sales for CA Technologies Enterprise Cyber Security business. His responsibilities included go-to-market strategy and execution as well as new product direction and acquisition. Prior to joining CA Technologies, Greg spent more than 10 years at Consonus Technologies culminating in VP of Sales where he was responsible for all field and inside sales across the company. Greg received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
As Vice President of Business Development, Jeff is responsible for forging strategic alliances and partnerships. Prior to joining MobileIron, Jeff spent ten years at Nokia, most recently as Director of Worldwide Channels responsible for the go-to-market strategy and partner ecosystem for Nokia Enterprise Solutions. Jeff’s product portfolio included the Nokia Eseries, Intellisync Mobile Suite Platform, Unified Communications and IP Security solutions. Jeff spent six years at Nokia Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Singapore, responsible for enterprise marketing across fourteen countries. Before Nokia, Jeff led enterprise and OEM sales for InTalk, who developed the world’s first IEEE802.11 products and was acquired by Nokia in 1999. Jeff began his career at RFID Systems Corporation, where he led sales and business development for asset identification and biometric technologies. Jeff has a BS in International Business from Hawaii Pacific University.
Ojas Rege is Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at MobileIron. His perspective on enterprise mobility has been covered by Bloomberg, CIO Magazine, Financial Times, Forbes, and Reuters. He coined the term “Mobile First” on TechCrunch in 2007, one week after the launch of the first iPhone, to represent a new model of personal and business computing. He is co-inventor on six mobility patents, including the enterprise app store and BYOD privacy. Ojas has been with MobileIron for eight years as the company has grown from just an idea to a mobile security platform with over 10,000 enterprise customers. Ojas is also a Fellow of the Ponemon Institute for information security policy. Prior to MobileIron, Ojas was responsible for the mobile product teams at Yahoo! and AvantGo and started his career in 1988 as product line manager at Oracle. Ojas has a BS/MS in Computer Engineering from M.I.T. and an MBA from Stanford.
